RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

2019 - 2021 Yale Interactive Machines Group

- Researching multi-agent non-verbal social signal processing for human-robot interactions in public spaces

- Built robot photographer as a platform for public robot deployments used by 4 current Ph.D. students

- Studied methods for predicting human interaction intent from visual features in public settings

- Led research project on using graph-based method for improving social group detection models

- Collaborated on a method for social group detection. Adapted model for live group detection between human and robotic agents

- Mentored 10 undergraduate students and 2 graduate students on projects ranging from robot greeting behavior selection strategies for public robots to using relational models to predict social groups

2021 Argo A.I.

- Defining relevance scoring for autonomous vehicles using trajectory forecasting models as a proxy for proprietary motion planner

- Developing onboard relevance model for autonomous vehicles to reduce computational resources allocated to irrelevant actors
